About Lynda

I am a fully qualified, experienced integrative counsellor CBT therapist and clinical hypnotherapist providing individual time-limited and longer term counselling.

I have an integrative training which enables me to draw upon a range of approaches including transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy and person centred, to help clients explore what brings them to therapy.

I work with individuals and couples, on relationship issues, anxiety, depression and abuse issues amongst many other things.

I think it is important to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual as I do not believe that one approach is appropriate for everyone. As a counsellor, I will not tell you what to do or take control of your life. I will be non-judgmental, accept you unconditionally and will support you through your journey of self discovery, empowering you to take control of your life. I will provide a confidential and safe environment for you to work in.

I have worked at a local Hospice offering bereavement counselling for a number of years with adults of all ages and backgrounds. I also have experience of counselling children in both primary and secondary schools for a domestic violence organisation along with experience working with adults and couples in private practice. I have over 15 years experience.

Alongside my private practice I am a trauma therapist for the PFOA.  I host meditation group workshops, wellbeing days for corporate clients and CPD events for other counsellors and clinical supervisors

In my previous career I worked as a business manager for a large corporate dental company, hence I have both experience and understanding of the impact of work place stress.
